Below an snippet of the corredpondance with Dane Bower's incredibly naieve Manager (who is also his ex-wife), Chelfing's Q's in black, her answers in red. To be fair, she was rather nice about being had over so comprehensively.

1> Does Dane Bowers have a full, clean driving license ? If not, please confirm details, this is for insurance purposes.
Dane has a drink-driving offence on his licence but he is legally allowed to drive again and use his licence as of 26th November 2009.
 
2> Does Dane Bowers have any special needs ? Vegetarian, health, or other ?
No.
 
3> What other foreign language skills does Mr Bowers have ? This Advert may also be used on Continental marketing program early in 2010. Pls confirm languages. Does Dane have any objections to being dubbed if needed ?
Dane is only fluent in English. He said that he could possibly get away with French, if he had some time to learn the script in French. He is OK with being dubbed, if need be.
 
4> Can Dane Bowers sing ? A short verse at the end of section #2 will be required (in English only). Dane is an excellent singer (hence why he was the lead singer of a boy band that had sold millions of records and had several Top 5 hit records). He is happy to sing in the advert if need be.
5> What driving experience does Mr Dane have, specific with high-performance vehicles and/or racetrack use.
He doesn't have any experience. He has only ever been a passenger in a race car. But he would be happy to learn and have a go if need be!
 
6> What clothing sizes does Mr Bowers take (UK or Continental) ?
UK size Large; chest 40inches. waist 34 inches.
 
7> What size helmet does Mr Bowers like ?
He does not know the answer to this...
 
8> Does Mr Bowers have any objections to some filmed passenger laps with one of our drivers, Roland Ratzenberger or Harald Schipmann at a track in Germany or UK ? This will be filmed internally by the media team.
Dane would have no objections. He would really enjoy doing this!

I have forwarded the details onto the relevant department. However from looking at it I would imagine it to be some sort of hoax (in bad taste). I did a quick search for 'Chelfing Automotive' and could find no such company. (email from cats protection league)
